Guava, also known as goiaba, goiabeira and Klom sali, and is considered an important fruit.

Origin
Guava originated in the tropics of America.

Taste
When fully ripe it has bitter-sweet taste. Depending on the type of guava pulp may be pink or white in colour.

Nutrients
Guava contains fats, proteins, iron, phosporous, calcium, vitamin A, fruit sugaer, and fiber. It also contains 5 times more vitamin C than oranges.

Uses
Guava makes a great aromatic constituent and can be used in beverages, confectionery, desserts, and smoothies.

It’s available all year round.
